Appendix A: Duplication Wizard

There are a few behaviors to be aware of when using MWAutoNumber with the [ Assembly Duplication Wizard ]: NOTE 1: The [ Category Wizard ] will NEVER be displayed when using MWAutoNumber with the [ Assembly Duplication Wizard ], even when selecting AutoNumber Formats with the option enabled to Use Categories . This behavior is by design, as it is assumed that users will not want to recategorize every document in the assembly’s structure. Instead, the new documents can inherit the categories from the original document using the [ Assembly Duplication Wizard ] Fields To Import options:

NOTE 2: The dialog to change the ID or DESCRIPTION of the document will also NEVER be displayed when using MWAutoNumber with the [ Assembly Duplication Wizard ]: This behavior is also by design, as this dialog would prove time consuming and frustrating when duplicating a large assembly structure. Similar to the categories, the DESCRIPTION can also be inherited from the original document, if desired:

NOTE 3: The [ Assembly Duplication Wizard ] cannot rename configurations. This is currently a limitation of the [ Assembly Duplication Wizard ], not related to MWAutoNumber specifically. If any configurations need to be renamed, it should be done manually after the duplication is completed.
