Appendix D: Custom Scripting

MWAutoNumber has two primary scripts that allow environments to apply additional custom scripting, if desired:

• DataEntr_PreEvent.LST • DataEntr_PostEvent.LST

Following is a flowchart of how and when these scripts are executed:

User attempts to save/register new document

MechWorks PDM triggers MWAutoNumber

•Could be triggered through DataEntr.LST, OnAddDocument.LST or DataEntr_Generic.LST, depending on the document type.

MWAutoNumber calls DataEntr_PreEvent.LST

•The DataEntr_PreEvent.LST can cancel the rest of the process.

MWAutoNumber calls main functionality (display the Format List and possibly the Category Wizard).

MWAutoNumber calls DataEntr_PostEvent.LST
