Suffix Options <> Separator Character(s)

In the case that multiple Drawings will exist for a single Model, if the AutoNumber Format is using the component’s [ ID ] for determining the Drawing’s [ ID ] ( Drawing Part Numbers Are Generated From Main Component <> Get Part Number From <> Component’s ID option is active), then the process will automatically append a two-digit number suffix to the [ FILE_NAME ] and the [ ID ] values for each additional Drawing to prevent conflicts of having multiple Drawing files with the same exact name:

The Separator Character(s) option controls the assigned character(s) between the main part number assignment and its automatic two-digit numbered suffix. Within the figures above, it is the default value of a dash. The first Drawing does not contain the additional suffix characters, while the additional Drawings automatically contain the defined Separator Character(s) followed by two digits (“ -01 ” and “ -02 ” accordingly).

If the Separator Character(s) option is changed to “ _D ”, then the [ FILE_NAME ] and the [ ID ] values for each additional Drawing will be assigned the suffix values accordingly:

The first Drawing does not contain the additional suffix characters, while the additional Drawings automatically contain the defined Separator Character(s) followed by two digits (“ -D01 ” and “ -D02 ” accordingly).
