AutoNumber Format Options – Rename Tab

In addition (to have access to all of the options within the [ Rename ] tab), the SCHEMA/BomTitle.txt file located within the GlobalParametersPath must contain a “mapping” line as follows: ID "SolidWorks@ConfigurationProperty@AlternateName"

The [ Rename ] tab allows the Administrator to configure two primary functions: 1. Whether or not the [ Save Wizard ] is displayed when renaming, and if so, whether or not the record’s [ DESCRIPTION ] is updated based on the selected categories during the renaming process. 2. If configurations are managed as distinct records within MechWorks PDM, whether or not the user is presented with the related [ Rename Options ] dialog, and if not, what is automatically updated from the rename process ( Configuration Name vs. ID vs. File Name ). a. NOTE: The Configurations options (within the [ Rename ] tab), are currently only relevant to SolidWorks documents within MechWorks PDM for saving configurations as distinct records, and if the option to Use DataEntr.lst on Rename option is enabled.
